Sunday Picnic

The great folks out at Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists put on a picnic today out at a local park. It was awesome to be out there hanging out, spending time with some really nice people. There was a border collie, I guess I've never seen one in person before but it was incredible to me that the dog would run and get the stick, walk back with it and drop it at your feet, at which point, if you said "get it" or "come on" it would pick it up and bring it closer or just put it in your hand if you waited for a second. I guess that's a simple enough thing to teach a dog, and doesn't necessarily mean the dog is intelligent, but I was amazed.

Other than the picnic and church at Huron Hills, a great place I think I'll return to and some Sunday donuts, (only three this week, maybe I'll start cutting back, it's certainly not the same now that it's not summer any longer) it was a pretty uneventful day. Dinner tonight courtesy of Sierra and Nick but all in all it was highly relaxing. Hopefully the swelling in my knee can continue going down and everything will be alright. I know things work since they did all summer, so I just ned to make sure the same thing happens now, since now is when things really matter. The summer was just supposed to be a test, and if I passed the test, things should work now, that's the confusing part.

But I am a runner.
