Surfs Up

Though I know he's not really a "surfer" necessarily, between the three of us, Brandon certainly most closely fits the description. I was saying tonight at dinner that it will be interesting to see how each of us speaks after we've been together for a time, Lee with his English accent, Brandon being from California, and my being from New York even though no one really thinks I talk as such. To be fair, I'm not from the city and that's the most common place to have an accent from, I don't think the way I talk sounds too much different than do people from the mid-west, but I'm not nearly an unbiased judge.

It only took a few minutes to unload Brandons car when he and Alison got here tonight. Now it's up to him to sort it all out the way he wants, but once that's done, it'll be smooth sailing. It's great to have everyone in the house finally, and while surely a real routine won't develop until after Nick and Lee get back from India, we'll be able to start things up before then. I can show Brandon a lot of the local running places and put in some solid base mileage before we all start gearing up. We're going to have a lot of fun, and hopefully that translates into us all running very fast. I think it will.
